This is quite a scoop!! the picture indeed show's the Daimler Fleetline Demonstrator 7000HP in Middlesbrough down at the Exchange Bus Station, a location which no longer exists due to the fact that the A66 road now passes through here.
The Demonstrator made an impression on Middlesbrough Corporation, as the Fleetline became the standard Middlesbrough vehicle from 1962 onwards, a policy which was carried on by Teesside Municipal Transport, and later Cleveland Transit, eventually totaling over 150 of them in service by the end of the 70's.
The other Bus is one of Middlesbrough's High Bridge Guy Arabs, probably from the EXG batch, but I can't identify it, because the picture is slightly blurred.
The 'K' service was a circular route, wich ran from the
Exchange, up to Cambridge Road near Acklam, and back down to the Exchange again.
This Bus met an unfortunate end, it was sold to an operator in Derbyshire, and was destroyed when that operator suffered a Depot fire in 1976.
