If I'm correct, didn't Anglia Railways start up Hull Trains. When First was not short listed for the new Great Eastern franchise, but Anglia Railways were, they purchased Anglia Railways in hope of winning the Great Eastern franchise by the back door....
If I'm correct, didn't Anglia Railways start up Hull Trains. When First was not short listed for the new Great Eastern franchise, but Anglia Railways were, they purchased Anglia Railways in hope of winning the Great Eastern franchise by the back door. By buying Anglia Railways, they also got the Hull Trains division as well. Ofcourse First attempts to re-win the Great Eastern franchise didn't come to much as the National Express group won it, and now we have National Express's "one" railway.
