170's are used on the Reading - Fareham - Brighton service aswell as London - Salisbury. Hardly short distances!

450's, 444's & 170's
I prefer the 450 but ive been on a 444. They don't use 170's for long distances like 444's. They mostly use 450's beetween Portsmouth & Southsea and Southampton Central. Dominic

yep not much different to the 444 but the 450 looks nicer i prefer the eds and the 170s
