This train had just come of out service having terminated at Manors. It will have travelled up the Manors curve and onto this line on its way back to Gosforth Depot. This shot was taken looking south, towards Manors.

There are no Passenger services on this part of the old line since the metro took over, this train is an empty set using it as a short cut to the Wallsend part of the Metro which is on a lower level of the system the line was kept connected just for that purpose this set has come from the Metro sheds at Gosforth.
If you look behind the train just to the left is where the Metro comes back outside from underground from the New Jesmond Station that the Metro built to replace this now defunct station no passenger services use it at anytime, it has been out of use since 1980 when the new system opened.
