Litter on the rails seems to be a problem everywhere you go. My nearest station, Bristol Temple Meads, has an APPALLING problem! Where is the sense of pride in the people who work there?

Only yesterday at Falkirk station a lovely well kept station as I was taking a photo of an approaching train I saw a male passenger throw his empty ciggie packet onto the line as his train arrived, when it left the station porter who had seen this from down the platfrom got straight down onto the track and retrieved it and his comments were unprintable.

Obviously not. But it's not a good sight for tourists to see that on the rails. It's as if they don't teach the children not to drop litter so they have bad habits when they're adults.
