"Central Trains Limited links the towns and cities of mid Wales, the Heart of England and East Anglia with a network of fast, comfortable services as well as providing local services in the East and West midlands, mid Wales, Lincolnshire and across to Norwich. The franchise (the last one of all TOCs) was let to National Express Group PLC in April 2004.
In Autumn 2007 this franchise will be split in an East Midlands franchise (together with Midland Mainline) and a West Midlands franchise (together with Silverlink). A few lines might go to Chiltern, Cross-country Trains or Trans Pennine Express.". Going by this the contract appears to expire in Autumn 2007 now.
