Yep, GNER were being turned around at Finsbury Park. Lots of annoucements and posted on London Underground how GNER passengers should take the tube up to Finsbury Park instead of Kings Cross. Keith

If a train terminated there wouldn't it just remain in the platform until setting off north again? I don't know the track layout, but there are (or used to be) plenty of platforms at Finsbury Park. Or if King's Cross is closed off maybe the trains...

I agree that sometimes due to engineering works, GNER trains have to short-terminate at somewhere north of King's Cross, but I have been to Finsbury Park, and I have never seen any sidings there. So I dont know who a GNER train can terminate at Finsbury...
